Mr. Sean Rich (parent of Riley – Rhoades alumni and Griffin – 6th) is owner of Tortuga Trading Inc. – specializing in antique arms and armour from around the world, concentrating on the 16th thru 19th century. He came to The Rhoades School Friday afternoon to share authentic artifacts with the students and teachers in the 4th grade.
These fascinating pieces of history directly related to our European Exploration studies. Artifacts included an astrolabe, original maps dating back to the 16th century, Spanish armor, and weaponry of the time.
Mr. Rich also graciously volunteers his time to share artifacts during our second and third trimesters from Colonial America and the American Revolution. Sean is a weapons expert consultant to the motion picture industry.
