On Friday, January 26, The Rhoades School hosted its first Open Mic Night. Co-sponsored by The Girls Rising Club and Change Makers Elective, this event featured more than 40 Rhoades students across both divisions performing songs, skits, dances, and poetry. The event raised money and awareness to help provide an education for children, and our community raised $2,100 to Girl Rising and Change Makers as a results of the event. With the money donated, the organizations were able provide for housing, tuition, books, uniforms and health care for two girls through She’s the First.
