Last week, 60 Rhoades 7th and 8th graders competed at the 2018 Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair. We are thrilled to share that 25 students received professional awards. Rhoades student accomplishments include:
- 24 students won first place
- 18 students won second place
- 7 students won third place
Additionally, one student received a sweepstakes awards, and one student received a special award for Zoo Global.
In the end, of the 89 students who qualified for the California Science and Engineering Fair, 20 were Rhoades students, more than any other middle school in the county. There were also 11 students eligible for Broadcom MASTERS.
We wish our students headed off to state in late April the best of luck.
