The Rhoades School hosted a dinner and cultural exchange for a delegation of women leaders from Latin America on Saturday, October 13 in the Kittle Auditorium. The women were from diverse backgrounds and countries, including Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Mexico. Among the women were grassroots community volunteers, members of parliament, lawyers, and educators. San Diego was one stop on their tour to discuss peace, education, health and women’s issues. Several members of the Girl Rising Club helped host the dinner. Thanks to the San Diego Diplomacy Council for offering this opportunity for us to host a cultural exchange and learn from these exceptional women.
