On February 15, the Kids Heart Challenge was held at Rhoades to spread awareness about heart disease, stroke, and heart-healthy living. Through the Kids Heart Challenge, students learn jump rope skills, how their heart works and raise money to help kids with special hearts. This is a fun and exciting event that teaches students about their hearts while helping others and raising money for the American Heart Association.
Nearly every family in America is touched by heart disease or stroke, and families and schools are critical links in providing the foundation for cardiovascular wellness. We are excited to share that more than $10,000 was donated to the American Heart Association to help fight against these devastating illnesses.
A special thanks to the Rhoades community for their generous donations and volunteers.
